ISO 42001 – The new gold standard for responsible management of Artificial Intelligence

What is ISO 42001?

ISO 42001 is an international standard developed by ISO and IEC with the aim of helping organisations establish, implement, maintain and continually improve an AI Management System (AIMS) – a management system for artificial intelligence.This standard is intended for all organisations that develop, use or manage AI systems – regardless of industry or size. It covers the key aspects of AI management, including:

How does ISO 42001 help you with the AI Act?

The AI Act, the European regulation on artificial intelligence, will enter into force from February 2025, and by 2027 it will be fully implemented. This regulation requires organisations to classify their AI systems according to risk – from “limited” to “unacceptable”.
